Our skies here in Northern California has been badly smoky lately – we had uncharacteristic lightning storms a bit over a week ago (we almost never get them, and it’s the dry season, and these were massive) which caused 1000 or so fires, which have consolidated into a smaller number of really big fires, in both mountain ranges near Silicon Valley, up in the wine country, and a bunch of places farther away, and they’re not close to contained yet.
At least three of my friends have had to evacuate, and many of the tourist towns are asking tourists to stay away, because they need the roads and the hotels for evacuees.
Ooh, full sun sunset! Hose only occur once a year.
